Feeling a little spicy?

After the stress of the past few months, I had a few little breakouts as my skin basically decided to revolt against all the nonsense that was happening! So I did a little research and found an awesome homemade mask to help with blemishes. There are various recipes all over the web, but the variation I am chatting with you about today worked the best for me.

What’s This Mask For?
This mask is definitely for blemishes and acne prone skin. It also does soften and brighten your complexion. I will not claim miracles for severe acne, however, you can try it and let me know how it worked for you. We all react differently to skin care and masks so what works for one, may not work for another.

How Does It Work?
I keep blogging about masks containing honey! However it is for good reason! Honey has amazing anti-bacterial properties. While Cinnamon is similar in that it has anti-microbial properties. Because of this, they are both very great at combating acne. And for some reason, they work way better together than they do separately.

Remember….
If you have never used honey or cinnamon on your skin before, you should do a patch test to make sure you don’t get a reaction to either of the ingredients. Cinnamon can sting a bit if your skin is super sensitive so, keep that in mind before you slather this on!

The Honey And Cinnamon Mask
There are so many different types of honey and cinnamon, and to be honest what you use will affect how this mask performs. I have used various types of honey and some are very effective while others are not. I prefer organic unprocessed honey and I would advice you to find honey that works best with your skin.

All you need to do is:
-Get 1 tbsp of honey
-Get 1/4 tbsp of ground cinnamon
-Mix the two together in a small container. You can make extra and save it in the fridge for later use

You can warm the mixture for 10 to 15 seconds before placing it on the skin. It’s easier to apply that way. Make sure it’s not hot before placing on skin.

As always, let me know if you try this mask! I’m curious to know what is working for you :0)

Happy Monday everyone!

  1. Tried this mask on my 16yrs old face, he was in the middle of an acne breakout. The next day, his face looked noticeably brighter, cleaner and LESS oily/pimply!
